Organic Padron Frying Pepper

HEIRLOOM Sought after to pan fry as tapas, these prolific peppers are harvested at 1"-1.5" green. Prized as a hot treat with oil and salt since the 1600's. Harvest young to avoid heat, although 1 in 20 seems to kick in with a little heat. If you let them fill out and ripen red they make great a super flavorful lacto fermented pepper relish or hot pepper jelly. The more you pick the more the plants will flower and keep your dinner plates full.

Produces well up till frost and after, we are eating peppers in January. They keep well in the refrigerator both Green and Ripe Reds. Good flavor and mild to hot heat. We will always have a Padron in our Southern Garden.

I'm not sure why these didn't do as well as the red peppers but they didn't.
