Organic Carrots
Freshly dug carrots, brilliantly sweet and gloriously crunchy, are among the most rewarding moments of our childhood gardens and our harvest to this day. Enjoy exploring the diversity of Fruition’s carrot colors and flavors in all the seasons! Carrots are best grown directly sown in soil anytime from mid-spring to late summer -- but first! We prep our beds with organic compost or slow-release organic fertilizer, to give before we receive even more carrot abundance. We also tuck them under hoops and floating row cover to optimize germination. At Fruition, we plant every three weeks for consistent harvest throughout the seasons.
