We have loved these deep, luminescent purple cherries for years because few other tomatoes have the same rich, fruity sweetness as Black Cherry. They are exceedingly prolific with skins that don't easily crack and the 1 inch fruits are perfect for salads and kabobs on the grill.

Organic Black Cherry Tomato We have loved these deep, luminescent purple cherries for years because few other tomatoes have the same rich, fruity sweetness as Black Cherry. They are exceedingly prolific with skins that don't easily crack and the 1 inch fruits are perfect for salads and kabobs on the grill. Black Cherry is beautiful alone or in a mix of other varieties. We also love that is is consistently one of the first varieties we enjoy, as well.

3 of 5 Struggled to grow January 14, 2019

We really struggled with all the tomatoes this year. We started them indoors, but had low germination rates, poor growth inside, and a lot of struggles outside. Eventually, they took off in late July, and the fruits we did get were really excellent, delicious and good yields.
But it seemed like a bad year for tomatoes for us. I am going to try once more with a better light system indoors and see if that helps...

5 of 5 Loved this variety January 4, 2019

It was a hit at the Farmers Market. I sold both seedlings and fruit. Both were well loved. The cherry is prolific, sweet and disease resistant even though we had a colder and wetter season last year. It will remain in my growing list this year too!
