More like a feather of kale than a leaf of kale, Organic Bear Necessities Kale is hyper-frilled, cold hardy and exceptionally tender. We love Bear Necessities as both baby and full-size leaves in all seasons, even raw in salads: broader leaves have larger fibers, so the intricate lace of Bear Necessities are notably more tender and sweet compared to all other kale we’ve tasted. We sincerely hope you never have the devastating Swede Midge munching your brassicas, but if you do, you’ll be delighted to learn that they as well as Flea Beetles care for Bear Necessities far less than most other kale varieties, as well.
