Organic Caribe Cilantro
20 days baby leaf harvest | 40 days full leaf harvest | Coriandrum sativum
HEIRLOOM Cilantro is delectable in every season, from tender micro and baby greens to glorious full-size leaves to aromatic, golden coriander. Cilantro is easy to grow in gardens as well as raised beds and containers, even in partial sun, just be sure to only direct sow and never transplant her.
Though many of us grew up sowing cilantro only in summer, cilantro is quite cold-hardy and overwinters at Fruition Seeds each year. Though cilantro is most tender, flavorful and bolt-resistant in the cool months, we harvest luscious cilantro throughout the summer first direct sowing cilantro alongside our peas in early spring, just as the snows melt. We succession sow every three weeks through mid-September here in Zone 5, with that final succession overwintering under hoops and floating row cover.
