3+ feet tall 3-4" bloom 62-65 days to flower Zinnia elegans

Outrageously vivacious! An unfurling kaleidoscope of long and narrow cactus-style petals in a vivid spectrum of color. We love Giant Cactus zinnia for diversity of both blooms and beneficial pollinators drawn to each enormous 3 to 4-inch blossom. Zinnias thrive in gardens as well as raised beds and containers with long, strong stems perfect for cutting. The more you harvest, the more they bloom!

To see if a zinnia is at peak harvest for cutting, gently shake the stem from about eight inches below the bloom. If the stem bends even slightly, it’s not quite ready. Once the stem is stiff, harvest! We find zinnias last well over one week in a vase and often two, if kept out of direct sun.

I grew these in a container with no issues. Great germination and growth even though they’re heavily crowded with weeds. I have gotten compliments on them from nearly every person who has stopped by my garden this summer! I will absolutely grow these again. The colors are lovely and the blooms have lasted a really long time on the plants.
