Organic Bright Rose Strawflower
Description
We love these luminous ruby blooms, easy to grow and impressively abundant! We tuck strawflowers both fresh and dry in vases & wreaths as well as garlic braids; we also dry them as individual heads to add delight to wrapped gifts like confetti, as our dear friend Kira taught us. Harvest just as the flower are about 20% open for bouquets since strawflower opens significantly after cutting. For dry bouquets, hang stems upside down until dry so they remain straight.
Last but not least, strawflower blooming several weeks after fall frost in fall, so they’re one of the final flowers we enjoy along with the bees, undaunted along with calendula, phacelia and feverfew.
At Fruition, we sow organic strawflower seeds barely covered in soil blocks indoors 4 weeks before final frost to transplant after final frost with one foot between plants.

Bloomed from July to Frost far outperforming the Apricot mix. Gorgeous color that mixes well in bouquets with dark dahlias.

We are so glad to hear you are enjoying this variety!

Yes, I agree with Melissa Knox. This was an extremely robust and productive strawflower which left the Apricot mix in the dust. It mixes with dark dahlias and with purple celosia. Fabulous.
