3 to 4' tall 75 days to flower Bracteantha bracteata
Organic Apricot Peach Straw Flower- Easy to grow and impressively abundant, we adore these jaw-melting flowers ideal both fresh and dry. We tuck strawflowers in vases & wreaths as well as garlic braids; we also dry them as individual heads to add delight to wrapped gifts like confetti, as our dear friend Kira taught us. Harvest just as the flower are about 20% open for bouquets since strawflower opens significantly after cutting. For dry bouquets, hang stems upside down until dry so they remain straight.

Last but not least, strawflower blooming several weeks after fall frost in fall, so she’s one of the final flowers we enjoy along with the bees, undaunted along with calendula, phacelia and feverfew.

I started this apricot mix and the bright rose mix from seed and then transplanted into the garden. The apricot is lovely and performed well, but it did not have the vigor and staying power of the bright rose. It just gave out in August while the bright rose provided cut flowers and filler right up until frost.
