Organic White Larkspur
Description
HEIRLOOM Exquisitely elegant and impressively tenacious, we swoon all summer over larkspur’s ivory double-blooms with glorious chartreuse margins. Often 3+ feet tall, spires of blossoms stack on strong stems perfect for cutting as hummingbirds and butterflies flock to our larkspur.
For fresh arrangements, harvest when one-third of the flowers on the stem are open, starting at the bottom. For dry arrangements, harvest stems when three-quarters of the flowers are open and before petals begin to drop. Hang out of direct sunlight for two weeks to maintain its best, longest color.
All parts of Larkspur are poisonous when ingested by mammals, including the seeds, but you won’t have any trouble sowing and harvesting her blooms all summer long.
At Fruition, we sow larkspur in soil blocks 4 weeks before final frost to transplant after final frost.
