In the 1918 flu pandemic, the US government subsidized Boneset tincture so everyone had access to this incredible immune-boosting medicine. Native to the Northeast and easy to grow, Boneset is a gorgeous plant, often 5+ feet tall, attracting butterflies and native pollinators to her white August blooms.
Medicinally, we reach for echinacea when we're wanting to boost our immune system before we have symptoms. Once we have symptoms like swollen lymph nodes & phlegm that isn't clear, we reach for Boneset. We harvest her flowering tops and most often make tincture, though you can easily dry and drink her (deliciously bitter) tea, as well.
Though pharmaceutical companies now dictate how our society thinks about medicine, health and healing, we can still grow our own medicine, Friends. And we must.
We're so honored to share these seeds with you :)
