Marvelously cold hardy, mesclun may be sown indoors or directly in the soil anytime after snowmelt through even one month before frost in fall, sowing every few weeks for consistent harvest throughout the seasons. At Fruition, we help our greens thrive by tucking floating row cover over hoops to exclude flea beetles and cabbage looper caterpillars while extending their harvest season deep into cold weather, as well.
