HEIRLOOM Easy to grow and thriving nearly anywhere, peppermint is deliciously resilient as well as prolific. A hardy perennial in Zone 4, establish peppermint where you welcome it for generations to come. Even in poor, undrained soil in part shade, peppermint shows us how to thrive!
Notably, we grow peppermint outside the garden where they grow in lush, rampant carpets without overtaking our vegetables. Growing peppermint in a pot is another way to contain their fragrant enthusiasm. Like so many herbs, peppermint leaves before flower are the most tender and sweet, so harvesting frequently and you’ll likely harvest all the more.
