Friends, rather than selling and shipping seeds, we now share seeds as an embodied gift practice. We are shipping all orders prior to August 28th as quick as we can, though your seeds may not arrive ’til October. Thanks for your patience and grace! NATIVE We love these raucously radiant, unapologetically autumnal blooms! Chim Chiminee thrives even in poor soil and drought, prolific in gardens as well as raised beds and containers. With long, strong stems perfect for cutting, each 3-foot plant blossoms mid-July reaching her peak by late August, remaining unrelentingly abundant well into autumn, especially if you harvest her flowers consistently.
A tenacious perennial, your rudbeckia will slowly expand her diameter and blossom all the more with each year, easy to divide when you’re ready to share her with friends! Harvest as blossoms open for optimum vase life; full sun grows the most abundant rudbeckia flowers.
When to sow (Transplant Only): Indoors, 4-6 weeks before final frost (at Fruition we use soil blocks), sow 2 seeds per cell. Mist to avoid covering seeds with displaced soil. Thin to 1 & transplant after danger of frost.

Days to Germination: 8-14 days at 68-72° F
Full Sun Plant spacing after thinning: 12-18 inches
Days to Bloom:80 Height: 28-32 inches
Harvest: Cut for bouquets just as blossoms open.

Listed as a tender perennial on other sites, I will be interested to see if this comes back next spring. Beautiful full plants with interesting narrow petals that open up as the flower matures into varying burned golden colors. We enjoyed these blooms in our first year of planting.
