8+ feet tall 70 days to flower Helianthus annuus

It isn’t summer without the bright butter-yellow heads of Lemon Queen, massive and ebullient, swaying in the breeze mid-summer to frost. Lemon Queen has dozens of secondary blossoms on long, strong stems just waiting to fill vases.

If you want the tallest sunflowers you’ve ever seen, sow Lemon Queen with a shovel or three of compost! In average soil, she’ll rise nine feet tall; at Fruition Seeds she averages fifteen feet tall. Like all sunflowers, Lemon Queen’s height reflects the fertility she has access to, so expect taller stalks and more blooms with greater fertility.

And did you know sunflowers are edible? Just imagine your salads next summer!
