At Fruition, we sow organic nasturtium seeds directly in the soil after final frost, though they can be started in soil blocks 4 weeks before final frost to transplant after final frost, taking care to not keep them too moist.

Organic Nasturtium

Transplant: Sow indoors 3 weeks before frost, 2 seeds 1″ deep per cell and thin to 1. Don’t over-water. Harden off and transplant outside after last frost at spacing below.
Direct Seed (recommended) : Sow 2 seeds 1″ deep every 12″, 2 weeks before last frost; thin to 1 once true leaves emerge. Hanging baskets or containers: 5 seeds thinned to 3.
