Cosmos bipinnatus
Description
HEIRLOOM We always look forward to these swaying clouds of white, pink, magenta and lavender blossoms floating on 4-foot feathers of lime green foliage. Cosmos require little fertility, undaunted by drought or downpour. Butterflies flock to her flowers, goldfinches gather the seeds and we spend as much time picnicking as close to them as we can. Cosmos are one of the easiest seeds to collect and share, as well!
At Fruition, we sow cosmos indoors in soil blocks 4 weeks before final frost to transplant after final frost, though you can easily direct sow cosmos after final frost, as well.
