Organic Ancho Poblano Hot Pepper The mild heat that comes with the rich, fruity sweetness of Ancho Poblano makes this stout, heart-shaped pepper with a wide interior one of our favorites for stuffing, roasting, sauces, chile powder and chile rellenos. Dark green, immature 'poblano' peppers are perfect for rellenos; red, mature 'ancho' peppers make phenomenal chile powder when dry. Stout, multi-branching plants are reliably abundant even even cool summers.

68 days to green, 88 days to red maturity.

Capsicum annuum

Grown by Tourne Sol in Montreal, Canada

Great moderate spice November 28, 2016

Didn't eat too many green, they "spice up" when dried. Waited for each pepper to fully ripen completely red on the plant, then dried whole in a dehydrator and stored in jars. It really is the "people's pepper"

Good for stuffing November 6, 2016

Popular at the market for stuffing and roasting. I needed to water this one more than I did, so my growth was slow. But once the peppers started, there were a lot of them.

I've had sporadic success with pepper seeds but these ones exceeded my expectations. Also love the seed saving tip cards included in each package.
