Organic Resina Calendula Chock-full of medicinal resins, Resina is easy to grow in any season, any soil & any sun, even partial shade. (All calendula varieties have these resins, some more than others. Resina is off the charts. You'll know it as soon as you go to harvest the flowers!) Salve made of it's easy to harvest flowers helps heal wounds and aching muscles. No house or farm should be without its resilient charm or deep healing.
Calendula is remarkably drought tolerant, making them perfect for containers. Exceedingly cold tolerant, we consistently have a few calendula flowers to tuck on our Holiday salads. Calendula is a relatively compact plant, not exceeding 2' tall and wide. It is not picky about soil and sun, though the better it gets the more it blooms.
Do be aware that all calendula varieties are rowdy self-sowers that quickly become congested carpets of calendula in future years. Harvesting flowers and/or seeds frequently will maintain the balance easily. 65 days to maturity
