Organic Ping Tung Long Eggplant HEIRLOOM Slender, flavorful fruits abound on ornate, stately plants. Earlier than classic Italian bells, we average between 15 and 20 fruits per plant with abundant compost. The long, glossy fruits are such fun to watch grow in the garden! We love Ping Tung Long halved on the grill or broiled in the oven, dipped in a fresh peanut sauce and sprinkled with cilantro. Pickled eggplant is delicious as well and Ping Tung Long is the perfect size and firmness to tuck in pickling jars.

Like most eggplant, these need a long growing season that is lacking where I live, so a little hard to get much, but the fruit I did get was wonderful and delicious

These plants are dependable for giving me wonderful eggplant late into the season. We used them in a variety of dishes as well as grilling with other vegetables.

5 of 5 My Favorite Eggplant January 6, 2019
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Western Massachusetts & near Albany, New York
Ping Tung is prolific, bearing many fruit over a long growing season.  They've consistently fruited early and continued until frost.  And the flavor!  Definitely best grilled, but oven-roasted is also divine.  Stir-fries are yummy, but the flavor emerges best in other forms.  Also a great pickler.  If I grew one eggplant, this would be it!
