Organic Lanro Kohlrabi
56 days to harvest
Brassica oleracea
Description
Tender, crunchy & sweet, there is nothing quite like Organic Lanro Kohlrabi! Chopped or shaved in salad, dipped in baba ganoush or tossed on the grill, we sow kohlrabi in early spring through late summer to surround ourselves with her glorious crunch all season.
We love Lanro because she resists becoming woody as she grows large; we most often harvest her between the size of a baseball to the size of a softball.

Got them in a little late in the early fall and weather changed quickly, but regardless this kohlrabi grew well, if a little small due to my conditions. I started them in pots indoors to protect from summer heat and then transplanted out when it cooled and they did well that way. Easy keepers and required little from me. .My first kohlrabi, no no others for taste comparisons but I did enjoy. For reference I am in Central Ohio 6a in urban garden with both unground and raised beds. Trying again this spring!
