If you’re gardening with kids, we love you! Here are some of the varieties I remember most fondly in my father’s garden; deliciously vivid and easy to grow, they kept me running back to the garden week after week, year after year. Imagine a row of big, bright sunflowers, scarlet runner beans climbing them (eat the flowers & the green pods!), rainbow nasturtiums (with edible flowers!) running all along the ground. Our dwarf sugar snap peas are irresistible and easy to trellis, as are our Mouse Melons (Mexican Gherkin Cucumbers). Radishes are quick to harvest in spring and fall, juicy and not spicy so long as they get enough water.
