Easy to grow in gardens and raised beds as well as containers, phacelia is one of our favorite native flowers and the bees quite agree! With exquisite fern-like foliage with dramatic lavender blossoms unfurling like fiddleheads, each 2 to 3-foot tall phacelia plant is a case study in spirals a-buzz with beneficial pollinators. For consistent nectar throughout the season, sow each month until 2 months before first frost. Phacelia is remarkably frost tolerant! At Fruition, we sow most organic phacelia seeds in soil blocks indoors 4 weeks before final frost to transplant after final frost with one foot between plants.
