Description
Fruition’s shortest sunflower, often just 3 feet tall! Each bloom is about 4 inches wide rich gold petals and dark centers. Sonja is ideal for cutting, selected for 8 or more strong side-branches on each plant and a long vase-life. Sonja will also thrive in containers as well as small spaces in your garden.
And did you know sunflower petals are edible? Just imagine your salads next summer!

Direct Seed (recommended): After frost, sow 2 seeds every 12-18” & thin to one. More fertility, space & sun = larger plants & flowers. Harvest blooms for continued flowering.
Transplant: Sow indoors 2 weeks before & transplant after last frost at spacing below, disturbing roots minimally. More fertility, space & sun = larger plants & more flowers.
