Description
Organic Painted Lady Sweet Pea
4 to 5′ tall | 65 days to harvest | Lathyrus odoratus
HEIRLOOM Exquisitely fragrant and easy to grow, Painted Lady loves to climb 5+ feet, surrounding you with nostalgic abundance of rose, salmon, cream & fleeting plum blossoms from early July to late September. For optimum vase life, harvest stems with at least 2 unopened blossoms. The more sun she receives, the more flowers she sends.
Sweet peas germinate best when direct seeded after being soaked in room temperature water for 24 hours, gently nicking the seed coat of those that don’t swell. Sow seeds 6 weeks before last frost, 2-3” apart, ½” deep. Keep soil moist until seedlings emerge. Sweet peas love to climb most fencing, easily becoming a 5+ foot wall of fragrant color, blossoming most abundantly in full sun.
