Organic Dulcinea Carrot

A new variety bred by Fruition Seeds! Dulcinea is sweet and straight, well-adapted and now undaunted by the stones in our soil. She is more vigorous than most, producing earlier harvests throughout the season. Her fall roots store sweet in the cellar til spring, as well.

Organic Dulcinea Carrot We’re thrilled to finally share our brand new carrot with you! Dulcinea began as Nathaniel Thompson dreaming of an organic, open-pollinated carrot at Remembrance Farm to rival Bolero, the conventional hybrid he felt overly dependent on. Irwin Goldman and Claire Luby of the Open Seed Source Initiative (OSSI) had already made an initial cross and generously mentored us through 5 generations of carrot, the one you may now plant in your garden!

Dulcinea is sweet and straight, well-adapted and now undaunted by the stones in our soil. She is more vigorous than most, producing earlier harvests throughout the season. Her fall roots store sweet in the cellar til spring, as well.

Such seeds are the heirlooms we make to feed this and all future generations :)
