Organic Northeaster Pole Bean

60 days to harvest Phaseolus vulgaris

HEIRLOOM The earliest romano-style pole bean we’ve found, Organic Northeaster Pole Bean is incredibly succulent and sweet as well as lusciously long, often 8″ or more before turning fibrous. We love their pale purple flowers attracting hummingbirds and butterflies! As with all pole beans, once “Nor’Easter” begins to mature seeds, they don’t produce as many flowers, so the more snap beans you harvest, the more flowers and thus delectable snap beans will surround you.

  1. Jaye

Huge producer with excellent flavor; even the ones that hide and aren’t harvested until they are nearly an inch wide are tender and sweet. At peak season 5 plants (each 8-10 feet long) were producing a pound of beans a day. We shared the excess with our local food pantry.

  2. Rich (verified owner)

Best pole bean I’ve ever tasted/grown. Beans were so big it didn’t take many to make a meal. We were picking them into September.
