This, friends, is an extraordinary cucumber. Smooth skin, long & slender with a small seed cavity & oh does it have flavor. Sweet, sweet flavor. It's outrageously crunchy with plenty of juice; even when it's 12 inches long it resists becoming bitter.

We've replaced 'Suyo Long' with this for it's increased flavor, productivity, uniformity & resistance to Bacterial Wilt. Hint: their thin 5-8 inch fruits have the greatest sweetness :)

Trellis for straight cucumbers or let them sprawl to let them spiral.

Very crisp tasting cucumber. Not as prolific as I expected. Will try again next year.

We had excellent yields from the Shintokiwa cucumber. The cucumbers were tender (when we got to them in time!) and prolific.

5 of 5 Amazingly fruitful! December 22, 2018

We had more cucumbers than we knew what to do with, and they were way bigger than I expected. They were a perfect variety in between a snacking cucumber and pickling cucumber, with fewer seeds but a tender flesh. I ate them fresh and pickled them. Delicious!
