HEIRLOOM Petra has loved Scarlet Emperor since childhood for its super sweet pods and extraordinary hummingbird watching! The heart-shaped foliage will grow 10’ tall and higher, quickly becoming a tower of gorgeous scarlet flowers. The flowers first become huge, sweet and succulent flat snap beans remaining tender until they reach 10" or more (which are one of Petra's favorite beans).

Great beans, but get stringy if you don't pick them early. Once I learned to pick them at a younger stage we had delicious beans for many weeks!
