Their 5′ vines abound with super crunchy fruits that sport a bright tang that grows stronger as they age. Children love to harvest and eat these marvelous fruits and their tiny, ornate leaves make harvesting easy for everyone. Mexican Gherkin Cucumbers are resistant to traditional cucumber diseases (especially Powdery and Downy Mildews) so we often enjoy our first planting all the way to frost.

Planting Method: Direct Seed Recommended

To Direct Seed: Sow after last frost, 2 seeds every 2 feet (thinning to 1).

For Transplanting: Sow indoors 2-3 weeks before last frost in peat pots (plant entire pot) or soil blocks to minimally disturb roots when transplanted

Seed Depth: 1/4 inch Days to Germination: 3 days at 80°F (26°C); 10 at 70°F (21°C)

Sun Needs: Full

Spacing (after thinning/transplanting): 2 feet; 30-36 inches between rows
