Organic Provider Bush Snap Bean

Provider is perhaps the most dependable green bean you're likely to find, as early as she is abundant. Aptly named, we appreciate Provider's ability to germinate in cold soils, often planted and thriving up to two weeks earlier than most varieties. If you're canning, freezing and pickling and beyond, Provider's concentrated production and disease resistance are a dream. She's our go-to for Dilly Beans, I confess.

Provider is perhaps the most dependable green bean you're likely to find, as early as she is abundant. Aptly named, we appreciate Provider's ability to germinate in cold soils, often planted and thriving up to two weeks earlier than most varieties. Now, let's talk flavor and productivity!

We offer two green bush snap beans, Provider and Tavera, because they serve unique functions in our garden. If you want to pickle and preserve, Provider is your bean. Abundance all at once makes preservation easy: Provider the perfect bean to feed you through the winter.

We plant Provider first (mid-May) because it grows in cooler soils so we eat Provider first --- but when Tavera (planted late May/early June) is on our plates two to three weeks later there is no looking back. Every year we're blown away by their exquisite flavor and delicate texture. If flavor is why you garden, Tavera is for you.

Who knew there was so much diversity in green beans?

We grow them all and love to share them all with you :)

because I eat them too quickly. These are my all time favorite for all around bean. The plants produced well and are starting to kick in again now that we have some cool weather. I will have to plant more next year, so some make it to the table.

We had buckets and buckets of these delicious beans...eventually made dilly beans
and provided Gleaners with a large supply.
