80-95 days to harvest Zea mays

Scrumptious sweet corn, brilliant yellow with splashes of cream, violet, plum and burgundy! Delicious pigments deepen and saturate as Festivity develops past sweet ‘milk’ stage; multiple stalks rise 5 to 6 feet high sharing 2 to 4 gorgeous ears per plant. Well-adapted for short seasons and low-fertility, we are grateful for our late friend and mentor Jonathan Spero of Lupine Knoll Farm in Oregon for cultivating (and sharing!) delectable diversity across many years, in addition to countless generations of indigenous brilliance.

When to harvest Festivity? Great question! The color varies profoundly in different soils and no matter the color, Festivity is ready to savor in the ‘milk stage,’ when cut kernels exude milky white rather than clear fluid (before milk stage) or no fluid (after milk stage). Enjoy!
