Direct Seed: Corn needs 65+ F soil to germinate. Crows often eat germinating corn! Sow 6” apart (or 2 every 12”) thinning to 1 per foot, rows 30-36” apart. For well-filled ears, sow in blocks rather than rows. Successively plant every 1-2 weeks through early summer. Harvest when ear silks are dry & brown, 18-24 days past silk emergence.

Sowing Date: Soil 65 F, mid-May to early June
Seed Depth: 3/4 – 1 inch
Days to Germination: 4-7
Days to Maturity: 70
Plant spacing after thinning: 1 foot
