Mike’s Slipknot for Hanging Garlic Bundles

We love to share what we love... and we love garlic and shallots! You'll find gorgeous seed garlic & shallots listed here every late Summer/early Fall. And don't forget the fertility... our Organic Garlic and Shallot Fertilizer has specially blended diverse amendments to feed both our soil and our alliums, and in turn, us!

Transcript: We’re tying a slip knot around the garlic. So that it will self tighten as it dries. And so I tie it the same way every time to be sure it will be self tightening rather than self loosen. So I fold the tail in my left hand and the rest of the string in my right. And then with my right hand, I make a loop passing behind the string in my left hand, and then I pass that loop to my left hand, make a loop on the right, pass it through the first loop and then tighten. And then this is your loop that you’ll pass around your garlic heads. Just shimmy it under them. Oh amazing. And then hold it tight, and you can just really crank on it.
Crank! So in every case of the rafters it automatically, as it dries down and then they would loosen and another knot they should with their weight tighten the knot. And then on the other end, you can hang another bundle. That’s true.
Bam.
Thanks for watching.
