80-90 days to bloom 1' tall Tagetes patula

HEIRLOOM Perfect for companion planting, French Brocade is barely one foot tall, brilliantly bursting with dozens of gorgeous blooms. Her edible petals have floral, citrus, and bitter notes too. Tucked between cabbages, at the ends of beds and along fences for a bright border, French Brocade also thrives in containers!

You’ll find French Brocade and Queen Sophia (another beloved) compact marigold throughout our fields attracting butterflies and other beneficial insects among all our vegetables and herbs while her roots exude compounds detracting pesky nematodes… And if you’re looking for a taller hedgerow with oceans of blooms, sow Pinwheel.

I grew this gorgeous marigold from seed for the first time this year, and planted them at the front edge of the garden beds around our house. They bloomed profusely and vibrantly the whole season, and stretched tall enough in the shade to use in short mixed bouquets. Highly recommend!
