Such a breathtaking dahlia! Her massive dinner plate blossoms are a sumptuous pale peach with lime green centers on long, strong stems perfect for cutting. Babylon Bronze is our earliest dinner plate dahlia, coming on strong in mid-July for us here in Zone 5 and not stopping til frost.

To extend dahlia vase life, place freshly cut stems in 160-180 F water & allow to cool. Who knew? You do! All our organic dahlia tubers are available March 1st with shipping beginning mid-March, as soon as the weather allows.

Organic Babylon Bronze Dahlia

Direct Sow: After last frost in 60F+ soil, plant tuber horizontally 4-6″ deep, 18-24′ apart with 1/2 cup of bonemeal. Water well until sprouts appear.
Transplant: 4 weeks before last frost, cover tuber horizontally in 2-3″ of damp and warm potting soil. If 12″ tall, pinch back apical buds. Transplant 6″ deep after last frost in warm soil with 1/2 cup of bonemeal per hole.
