Organic New York Hardy Mache or Corn Salad Grown by Turtle Tree in Copake, New York Long loved in Europe and just making its way to American salads, mache is as delectable as it is hardy. We are always thrilled to have this mild, aromatic green in February! Turtle Tree has found it to be the most hardy of all varieties they've trialed over the years, consistently overwintering uncovered outdoors for the last 17 years. Resilience! Sow mid-fall for winter harvests.

Mache all winter and looking for more! April 1, 2016

Loved planting our Mache seed this past early fall.  With the limited snow cover we were able to harvest in the field December through March.  It still has not gone to seed and we hope to get several more harvests before it sets seed for next year.
