Organic Three Sisters Collection

The Native American Three Sisters polyculture is brilliant and beautiful as well as abundant: pole beans climb up and fix nitrogen for the corn while the winter squash vines outcompete the weeds. Check out our blog, we’ve experimented a lot over the years and are always thrilled to share everything we’ve learned.

Contains one packet each of: Glass Gem Parching Corn, Italy Hill Popcorn, Haudenosaunee Skunk Pole Bean, Scarlet Runner Pole Bean, Delicata Squash, Burgess Buttercup Squash

Two of the three sisters did pretty good January 14, 2019

We had good growth and yields on the corn and beans, and the beans were absolutely beautiful to look at. I loved watching the beans and corn grow together. I don't know what to say about the squash because it seemed to struggle all season and we never ended up with a squash, but every other variety of squash I planted, including transplants I purchased from a local greenhouse, was exceptionally poor this year. It could be our soil or the rain patterns (it was a very rainy year with a hot dry July). I will definitely try again before I make a final judgment.
