Pollinators ensure a bountiful harvest and flock to each of the flowers in this collection throughout the season. Beneficial insects, the hallmark of the organic garden, are also attracted to these species and prevent pest pressure before it even begins. Contains one packet each of Lemon Queen Sunflower, Zeolights Calendula,
Borage, Phacelia, Tulsi (Holy) Basil, and Pinwheel Marigold.

Phacelia, native to North America, has blue (rather than yellow) pollen so take a look at the color of your honey bee's thighs this summer! The rich amber pollen of Tulsi is also easy to spy on the bees in August. Pinwheel marigold and Zeolights Calendula is the ideal flower for companion planting, blossoming profusely from its stout plant a single foot tall without competing with your tomatoes, lettuce, kale or beans. Sunflowers bring butterflies by the dozen and are particularly attractive to native solitary bees that do not sting.

I was so happy to find this 5-pack of different seeds that are bee friendly. It took the guesswork out of helping bees. :) I also appreciated that it was a variety of annual and perennial plants, including some herbs.
