I planted these with my cucumbers in an attempt to discourage the beetles that ruin my crop every year. it worked wonderfully. And then the GIGANTIC roots got sliced and diced and fermented in the crock and tasted wonderful. Win-win

Watermelon Radish is a Winner! July 26, 2015

I purchased the seeds at the Philadelphia Flower Show in the Spring, just to try something new.  Wow - are they ever tasty and so gorgeous with their hot pink interior!  They are truly the size of softballs -- hubby thought it was a turnip at first glance.  Definitely adding these to our "must grow again" list!  Thanks!!
