Organic Japanese Garlic- An early Asiatic hardneck variety with an earthy sweet and balanced heat when cooked, pairing well with greens and white wine. Japanese produces its unusual and beautiful scape earlier than most with a dramatically long bulbil sheath. The bulb skins are pure off-white silver, each clove silver with a rose blush as its base and arranged in two layers around the scape. Stores up to 6 months. Also called ‘Sakura,’ this variety became popular when an elderly Japanese farmer in western Washington offered some bulbs to Giannangelo Farms.

Allium sativum
