Organic German White Garlic (Hardneck)
Organic German White Garlic Seed

Alternative Views:

One of the most widely grown hardnecks with rich garlic flavor & a lingering heat that softens & sweetens when cooked. We love German White in our pesto, sauces & roasts. Each large bulb offers 4-6 huge, easy to peel cloves that last for 6-8 months.

Average 40 cloves per pound.

“Porcelain” varieties are hardnecks throwing scapes in June just before bulb harvest. Bulbs are typically large and bright white (inspiring the name ‘Porcelain”) although purple or copper streaking often appears depending on growing conditions. Bulbs average 4-6 exceptionally large cloves, each skin ranging from yellowish-tan to brown to reddish-purple in both background and streaking. Cloves are easy to peel. As a group, Porcelains are among the highest yields of allicin, the sulfur compound most associated with garlic’s therapeutic benefits. As a result, they are often more pungent and unsubtle and lack the flavor complexity and depth found in Purple Stripes. Nonetheless, they work well for any dish that calls for assertive garlic flavor. Also, Porcelains (more than any other hardneck) set larger bulbs when their scapes are removed.

Seeds and garlic August 23, 2018

I was very happy with the results that I got from both of the Garlic's I got from you guys last year. I will use them as seed garlic for this year. I have also just ordered some shallots from you hoping to have as good a results as I did with the garlic. I will say this for your seed though, I wasn't at all happy with the onion or shallot seed while the pole beans produced really nice plants I never got any beans. With your P seed I got the worst results I've ever had from peas. The sunflowers started growing well but then the rabbits ate them. The seeds I bought from Chelsea at Plantation. So while I am ordering the shallots it's doubtful as to whether I will order seed from you again because it just wasn't productive.
