Organic Claytonia

Super cold tolerant & succulent with fresh, bright flavor.

specialty green, claytonia

Description Planting Instructions
Organic Claytonia Succulent, heart-shaped leaves with fresh, mild flavor. Incredibly adapted to cold winter temps and thrives in partial sun. When planted in September and October you will have greens throughout the winter. Also called Miner's Lettuce from the days of the California Gold rush, when it was consumed in mass along with gold and prized for its high levels of vitamin C. Because of its mildness it is great to mix in with arugula and other mustard greens for you salads. Fall-sown Clatonia will over winter and grow into the spring for harvests before your spring lettuce is ready to join you at the dinner table.
